- Spent 2 years of my life as a 'drugs counsellor', or to be more specific a Project Worker for a substance misuse charity, worked with drug users in day care and residential services, have also been involved in drugs education workshops, working with adults and young people. As for the reasons that I became a drugs counsellor? Let's just say I've lived. I'm quite opinionated about drugs because what I know I've learnt the hard way.
